SRT plans to expand work force to 1,500 employees

Southern Refrigerated Transport is marking its 20th year with hopes for the future after the recent opening of its new $17 million headquarters east of Texarkana on U.S. Highway 67.

Tony Smith, SRT president, has seen the company come a long way from its start as a 10-truck, 10-trailer business.
