Hopefully EVERYONE!!! Man... I know most of us probably hated him at first, but you can't deny that his show was addicting. I watched it every day on GRTV.

The Great Darryl Nathan! Thanks for unearthing the youtubes. We saw him at Festival, and watched his show regularly on GRTV. We were...quite entranced by his act.

Now, if only someone can dig up backshows of The Electric Church, I'd be in < snort > heaven!

That was A-Class public access entertainment. Everyone I knew in school loved this guy.

he's deffinatly alive, but i'm not too sure he's playing. maybe if we can show him enough love on myspace or wherever, he'll get back on the air!

No friggin' Way

I remember seeing this dude on GRTV. He played a song called "Sweet Sweet Love" which must have lasted 45 minutes.

I was talking with my digital sound design intructor about Deryl last year. It turns out that my instructor sold him the keyboard.

As the story goes, Deryl was in bad need of a keyboard to play his ....um.... music. But the asking price was about 150 dollars. Well Deryl, being on a shoe string budget....and I mean shoe strings from a pair of worn out tinny runners, couldn't pay full price up front. My intructor felt sorry for the guy and said to him that if he could pay a bit at a time what ever he could afford until he paid the asking price off, he could have the keyboard. It took Deryl three years of a couple of bucks here and some pocket change there, along with collecting pop bottles and soda cans to pay the asking price to get the keyboard.

I could pass on his music but one has got to admire his will and determination.

I saw the Great Daryl Nathan live at "Skull Fest '98" at the Monroe Ampitheater. He opened up for Entropy, the best punk band EVER! No joke, it was quite a show.
