Mystery Project on Bidclerk

Here's a project that I didn't recognize from previous discussions. It has 475K square feet but only 24 condos. It sounds like the bulk of this one is for retail. Or is this the sliver building (aka one of the Gulch triplets)? Anybody know what this is?

I do not think the 'sliver' Gulch building will have any retail/food component. This must be something else.

The footprint of that site is not big enough to accommodate 475,000 sq ft of commercial space. That is a good sized building.

This may be something we know nothing about. Could be somewhere else in the Gulch or who knows what.

To me, this sounds like the big retail project on Charlotte Pike, near WalMart I think. I remember a small residential component.

I'll venture a guess. How about the former Hillwood Shopping Center site where the new Costco and Best Buy are going. With Costco at, what, 175k, and Best Buy at 60k or so, it wouldn't seem hard for some office, condo and restaurant to fill the rest of the space.

That's what comes to my mind with a project of this size. Bidding is current with construction planned to start soon anyway.

So apparently, that project was originally billed as retail, but there's apparently more to it than that.

Thanks for solving the mystery. Great detective work, guys! Since you were som good at solving this one, how about trying to solve this one as well. I had it listed under the Terrazo Thread because I thought it might be the Terrazo. However, it was pointed out that this project has more units than the Terrazo. One guess was the second Adelicia Tower. Another guess was a fourth Gulch project. Any ideas?

Actually the residential component has been part of the project but unheralded or rather overshadowed by the massive retail side. If I'm not mistaken, the residential is supposed to go on the old wal mart site

I would bet that is the project just off 8th ave. I cant think of the name right off the top of my head, but they are bulldozing the current apartments there in favor of condos. This project would not be too far from Douglas corner either. Give me a few and I will find it. I think I have it listed on the development map.

This project on Bidclerk is a very large project - 228 units in all. Does the Craighead development have 228 units? Do you have any project details?

I would bet that William or Richard can answer that better than I. I dont have any details other than what has been published in the papers.
