Louisiana gambling revenues up... still! Horseshoe in Bossier City used to be the top casino in the state, but with the addition of Harrah's New Orleans and Lake Charles' L'Auberge D Lac, it's now the third most profitable in the state.

I read that Harrah's was pulling out of Lake Charles. Is this true?

Harrah's in New Orleans is really starting to pick up speed again. I see more and more people headed into the casino everyday, most of them from out of town.

Hey Brian, is the Horseshoe in Bossier losing profits at all, or are Harrah's New Orleans and Lake Charles' L'Auberge D Lac just moving forward that quickly?

Not at all. Horseshoe has always done between $20 and $30 million/month so they're not losing any ground. Harrah's New Orleans and L'Auberge Du Lac both are definitely gaining ground that fast. And to think, just a few years ago people were doubting whether or not a land-based in New Orleans would even survive.

Ha, yea I remember that pretty clearly. I never doubted the idea at all, and now, Harrah's has been saying that the 26 story hotel that is nearly completed next to the casino won't be anywhere near able to hold all of the people who come to the casino from out of town regularly.
