This is not a contest, but just a way to get an idea of what cities have what franchises that the others don't. I am in the Greenville area, here is some things I can think of. Help is appreciated.

PF Chang's(coming soon)

Jack in the Box

Cheeseburger in Paradise(other one in Myrtle Beach)

Drury Inn(coming soon)

Brixx's Pizza(one in Mt. Pleasant so I guess this might be considered Charleston)

I am sure I am missing lots of stuff.

Doggonit! Meant to put this in the SC forum. Can one of the moderators move it for me please? Probably won't do much in here with out the other 2 cities.

Columbia has Smokey Bones, Rush's, and Beezer's.

Charleston does not have a California Dreamin, but they do have about 92734008 other restaurants that the other two cities don't have :)

Greenville supposedly has a Krystal's somewhere.

Multiple Krystal's.

Drury Inn and Suites is already under construction along I-85. It will be a nice midrise to go along with the future Hilton Garden Inn and Homewood Suites (?) at The Point.

Has City Range made it to Cola or Charleston yet? They were planning this awhile back, but I haven't kept up on it.

Does Cola or Charleston have a Mimi's Cafe?

Aussie Outback Bush Burgers - Mmmmmmmmm!!!

Salsarita's? I think there is at least one in Charleston, but I'm not sure.

Greenville has had a California Dreaming for over 10 years.

We have LA fitness

We're getting a PLEX Indoor Sports (supposedly larger than Cola's)

Flat Rock Grille originated in Greenville, but it may have expaned into the otther cities by now.

Five Guys Burgers and Fries

Gatti Town

Peddler Steakhouse

Chophouse '47

Rush's is off the chain. Is it a franchise? Greenville could support some of those I bet.

Wow! Saks? Wonder if Greenville will ever land them? Is it because Charleston is a tourist attraction? Also, is the Brixx the one I mentioned in Mount Pleasant or is this a different one?

I WISH Greenville had a Rush's. It's a tradition to stop on the way to the beach for my family... and we usually see many other Greenvillians that we know in there on their own way to or from the coast... Mmmm.

Ummm, Greenville has Mast General Store :)

All 3 have Frankie's Fun Parks & Sticky Fingers  ...

Hmmmm. this is tough

Jack in the Box

And my wife is incredibly jealous of that - Jack In the Box has expanded in the eastern US (my wife used to live in TX), but for whatever reason they chose TN & SC to start. So in Atlanta we have one closest in Anderson or further north in Nashville. Plus I believe Whattaburger (also in TX) is expanding in Alabama!

Mmmm....Backyard Burgers.... :D Man, I haven't been there in awhile, and the place has fantastic Angus beef burgers. My hometown also has Charleston Crab House, though Cola is hanging on with that restaurant...only one located here at Decker and Two Notch. I hope it sticks around a long time.

Melvin's BBQ I think is just a Chas chain.

I know Chas has On the Border and Cola doesn't. Does G'ville have one?

Millineum Music is a Chas CD franchise store.

Greenville also has backyard burgers....and they do rock!

We also have on the Border..and to counter Millenium, we have Earshot records.

They have Jack in the Box in NC too, mostly in the Charlotte region though.

I had no idea what Jack in the Box was before I came up to Rock Hill for college. The franchise is also big out west.

^ Jack In The Box is massive out west - it's easily the #2 chain after McDonalds. It's a cool combination of Mexican & American chain food - my wife loves their fried tacos.

Didn't Greenville have a Lizard's Thicket? I know the franchise owners live here and I thought that they opened one store here near Bob Jones?

They did but it closed. Its the building that is now Kountry Cupboard I think.
