Anyone know what the 2 fast food places at the old Nick’s car wash location will be? I think one is going to be a Popeye’s(not sure) and the other looks like a Starbucks but surely not since there are 3 other Starbucks within a mile. TIA

This is an interesting project that they are doing at a mall in Sterling Heights, MI.... food for thought:

Don’t post stuff like that here. It’s too depressing. :( Simon don’t care about us. They only care about the big cities like Charlotte and Atlanta.

Likely a result of the state failing to fix the liqour liability law before the end of the term. Next opportunity to fix it starts in January 2025, with hopefully a new set of politicians elected in November.

Love this city. Hate this state/county. Idiots at the wheel.

Blind Horse said the insurance thing was the reason. A shame.

I was told by a Gabes employee they will be moving the Haywood rd. store and consolidating it at the larger Old Time Pottery store on Laurens Rd which will become Gabe's . Gabe's acquired the Old Time Pottery chain last year. I didn't think they would keep both stores that close together.  Guess that will open up a fairly large anchor space at The Gallery on Haywood behind the new CFA in the future.

Anyone know what is going on across from Applebees in the Haywood Mall parking lot. Looks like something was being built and someone just knocked it over. A pile of wood now. It is roped off.

It’s Bal Harbour Shops:

Stuart Varney on Fox Business had a great interview this morning about top performing stocks. Included in the discussion was Simon Properties. This company is doing extremely well in stock growth and they are paying a 5% dividend. Evidently, Simon is still able to raise rents and fill their properties. The quote of the day was, “It was a stupid thought that all malls will fail.” Simon is proving people still want the convenience of shopping at a quality mall.

I thought the Bal Harbour shops were supposed to  come a long time ago.  Better late than never I guess. Greenville must have been last on their list.  They should have set it up on the vacant Sears end. Nothing going on there.
