You are young enough to start anew in a new place that you BELIEVE (atm) to be a better fit for you...a place which better reflects your values, aspirations, hopes and dreams. Please. Go. For you feel as if you don't belong here. You weren't meant to be here. You don't feel that HR is worthy of you. You have a pervasive and overwhelming suspicion that you are missing out...on something better/greater...that you are wasting your life here. My friend, what you have stated here about our region reveals a deep-seated antipathy....and like a Cancer, your feelings about your present environs will only continue to eat at the body of your very soul. Soon, if you do not make the move, you will risk enduring a truly hollowed-out, tragic and painful life. A life of regret.
GO FORTH AND PROSPER! Good luck to you.
And if I leave, would you ask why I wasn't more vocal?
I have no regrets about not leaving. Maybe a few second guesses and "what ifs" but I've done well enough for myself to where I don't mind it here. The fact that the decisions made by The Powers That Be blow my $&%#ing mind are not mutually exclusive. But if I don't leave, I can rest my head on the summer internship I did in NYC 20 years ago. I also get to travel for work from time to time.
As I said above, family and job stability keep me here more than anything. And I'd rather air my grievances and email my council members instead of taking the easy way out and moving somewhere, only to find the grass ain't greener. Be the change you wanna see and all.

I saw the “JUST MOVE” coming from a mile away. A person living in a place already bleeding dozens of people per day screaming to people on the internet to just move is truly diabolical.

Crazies that do something they regret, and I'm talking on both sides, have a virtual fingerprint of posts like these when their online posts are analyzed.
There will still be a tomorrow no matter who wins next month.
The question is not whether or not there will BE a tomorrow.
The question is WHAT KIND of tomorrow it will be.
If you think there cannot possibly be major negative repercussions of a second trump term that will adversely affect the future of democracy in this country, then you have a serious case of naivete.
His own Generals, Cabinet members and even his VP have said publicly that he is a danger to democracy and isn't fit for office...
But apparently you and trumpers like you, feel that you know better than those who worked the most closely with him and that your judgement is better than theirs.

It may not be some govt agency's formally defined income level, but for a for a family of 3 or 4, 65k is pretty much living in poverty. And that's the maximum income.
