Convert Tallahassee Mall into a combination outlet mall and antique mall; throw in some entertainment venues like Dave & Busters or Jillians; maybe even sell it to Simon Properties and make it part of the "Mills" line like Concord Mills, Potomac Mills, Discover Mills, Sawgrass Mills.... Call it Apalachee Mills.
Replace it with DeVoe's project at Mahan/I-10 or Southwood's planned outdoor mall.

A group of phtoographers, amateurs and pros alike, will be gathering this afternoon for a downtown Tallahassee photo safari.
We are meeting at the Vietnam Memorial (giant flag) at the corner of Apalachee Parkway and Monroe Street at 5PM.
We'll roam around downtown from there for a couple hours taking pics of whatever catches our eye.
Afterwards, we'll grab dinner and drinks somewhere.
All are welcome. Simply show up at 5pm or track us down somewhere downtown thereafter.

Right on cue... "I just got on I-4 and it's a freakin' parking lot! Get me off this thing!"
A "fair" alternative to I-4 and International Drive is Universal Blvd.

Decided to dig into our wedding files:

If you take US Hwy 27, Orlando is exactly 215 miles from Tallahassee. The drive is beautiful on the 4 lane highway, most of which is divided and it's a nice break from the everyday on the interstate. If you've never driven that route, you should, it's a time and gas saver.
3.5 Hours doing 70 MPH.
<1/2 Tank of Gas for most cars.
Just thought I'd pass that on.
My wife took your suggestion today. She just called. She left at 1:30pm... now 3:15hrs later, she's about to reach I-4 from the Turnpike.
She said she loved the drive. No traffic, no stress, no swearing until she was on I-75. I expect the phone to ring any minute with some choice words from I-4.

^Another great shot from you bud. I'm going to go out on a limb here and take a stab in the dark that the Apalach shot was taken sometime from Nov. to March? I'm basing that guess-a-ment on the sky. How close or far off was I? To make even more a fool of myself I'd narrow it down to November?
No idea... pulled it off my website and can't find the original. All I can say is that the webpage was created Sept 26, 2004, but the picture was probably taken 2000-ish.

Thanks... you've made me realize though that I have not taken many architectural, landscape, or related photos in the Tallahassee area.
