I was recently in the UP and in Northern Michigan.
Many persons I meet with have no clue what's happening in Grand Rapids.
Just a big city, according to some.
One could effectively market our city to these folks without too much expense.
I had a similar thought, would marketing to a specific local allow you to get a good bang for the buck and be able to track it. Make it "Sparta Night, Holland Night, etc. Offer some discounts for dinner and get people exposed to downtown without a major event going on. So the focus is not on a concert or a hockey game but just on downtown?

Principle is a techie and likes the look.
i've got the equipment, but not the software.why are you so particular about getting HDR shots?

Could anyone recommend a person to take some HDR photos of structures in the Grand Rapids/Holland area?
There would be compensation.
This may infringe on the rules, not quite sure after I read them. I ask forgiveness ahead of time.
Thanks

EDIT - I hit the wrong button - I meant to reply to GRDAD about Chris Knapp - not towermart.
Thanks, for the clarification for one brief shiny moment, I thought I knew what was going on,only to be told I was wrong about something I knew nothing about. Which I suppose if you are going to be wrong about something, that would be the way to do it.

I'm assuming.
Thank you, I was mostly correct.

Thats a great shot. I can see:
The Choice One Building
The BOB
50 Monroe Place (Huntington)
The Pantland
Is that rock in the river the same that is there today?
I am having a hard time orienting myself, is the Bob and Huntington building the ones in the middle on the crease of the photo?

Now that you mention it, I noticed that Gallery on Fulton is #8 on the Parade of Downtown Living. Strangely, though, the map in Grand Rapids Magazine has the location at Weston and Ionia. Hello! 'on Fulton' is in the name!
My guess would be that they are showing the Second Story Sales office next to the Sierra Room.
I believe they are marketing the project.

It was, you can still see the Anheuser Busch Eagle in the Cornice.
Corner of Grandville & Oakes SW. I think it's actually an old Anheuser Busch distributor building.

I have seen an aerial photo from 1940s ? that appeared to show a very tall building on what is now the parking lot behind San Chez. Maybe some has it and could post it.
