You are referring to John Elkington who was working with the Waterford Group before the money for Adriaen's Landing was ever approved by the legislature. He was in the picture when Adriaen's Landing was first conceptualized in the late 90's. Elkington was the master planner who was accused of throwing around tenant names whom he had never contacted. He was passed over in favor of Casden Properties (there was never a bid process, the state just liked Casden better) who was replaced by Richard Cohen who was replaced by Nitkin. When Nitkin was named the preferred developer, I don't think there was anyone else in the picture.

I heard that Northland is negotiating with two or three restaurants, a market, a wine shop, a coffee bar, a bookstore and others; that they are being very selective, because they want the right mix, and are holding the line of top of the market rents.

I heard that Hartford 21 has set the residential rents and is taking deposits. Does anyone know anybody who has leased there?

Welcome to Hartford. By the way - how is the living at 55 on the Park. If you don't mind - how is the rehab holding up. Do you see/interact with your neighbors. Is there somewhere to eat breakfast on the weekends? Do you use the Park?
You can get to NYC quickly on I-84 to I-684 and right down the Saw Mill Parkway. That is about 105 miles to the tip of Manhatten. Start further west on I-84 and you take off time and miles. -

I was told that the three story glass element at the corner of Asylum and Trumbull is going up. Has anyone seen it - how does it look?

the "new" front street at $55 M is one third of the size/price of H21. How much of an impact is it realistic to expect from this scaled down development?
