Right, Europeans are generally healthier, enjoy walking, having human-centric city centers, and an overall sense of safety from traffic. Keeping the squatted trucks and speed racer boys out of that part of downtown seems like a big plus to me.

I heard a rumor over the weekend that the old grain site beside the AC will be turned to and Executive extension to the AC, also making their parking lot larger. So, I am guessing large conference hall and such going in over there.

The former Wendy's parcel at the corner of Pine and Henry Streets was sold on Feb. 3 to Newburg Investments LLC, which is headed by Raj Patel (an owner of Cribbs, The Kennedy, and Main Street Pub).  It will be interesting to see what he does with the property.  Clearly restaurant use is likely.

It will likely be Keg and Cellar for the  East side.
