Crazy how fast that went up and then just stalled out when they got to the interior. I can't wait to see what happens to that sketchy bodega next door. Between this and the Towne, doesn't seem destined for that street anymore.

If I had to guess, the Rescue Mission will be looking for whoever buys their property to build them a new building elsewhere prior to them moving. They are a non-profit and will not really be able to afford to stay within the downtown area without major assistance. Moving an organization like that is not done in your traditional real estate maneuvering. They will either be looking for a group to assist their move (donated land/building/third party developer w/ lease) or they will look to be integrated into a larger project (ie YMCA and 1010 Church). Their land is extremely valuable, yes, but just because there is a price tag does not mean they are able to plant somewhere else very easily.
Thoughts on them taking a buyout on the Rosa Parks property before construction advances too far?

Why do you say that? It doesn't infringe on the property line.
Aside, I am also toying with the idea of opening an upscale liquor store in Germantown, message me if you wanna chat.
