The Nashville Sounds, Portman Holdings (developer of Ballpark Village mixed-use), Metro Sports Authority, and Metro Council are finally all working together to get the Music City Bikeway/Greenway that runs between 5th Ave. North and 3rd Ave. North along the south side of the baseball park permanently open to the public.

It sounds like they’re constructing a whole new segment of pavement to service the new mixed use development rather than using the trail that’s already there.

I own a couple of those types of drills. The drilling on site right now is almost certainly for blasting. The pattern spacing I saw looks to be for mass excavation, maybe for below grade parking or stormwater retention.

Ah, that makes sense. Thanks for the insight! I can certainly feel the Neuhoff blasting shake my complex intermittently. I guess I’ll have this one to look forward to next…

The Rome (7 stories, 210  units, 3,800 sq. ft. of ground level retail, internal garage) update: core drilling and excavation equipment on site.

Can anyone tell me what the drilling equipment is for here? This is opposite from my apartment and I’ve been watching it drill around the entire lot perimeter over the past week.
