I really hope this project is realistic. Here is a photo I took on Friday from above showing the double helix. I used to park in this garage and my experience wasn't particularly positive. The garage will definitely need some upgrades if it were to serve high end commercial tenants.
Also I had never experienced a more complicated elevator button pad than this

Anyone know what is planned here at the corner of 17th and Pearl St? I saw this sign while waking today. Looks like they are wanting to change from R6 to Mixed use (I think). The daycare that was on this site was demolished over a year ago. The area could definitely use a solid mixed use development.

There is no guarantee Amazon will brand any of their towers with the name and logo. I don’t believe the’ve done that in Seattle. Many corporations choose not to do that even with a corporate headquarters buildings.
Amazon has 30+ buildings in Seattle and none of them have the logo at the top so I think it's unlikely that would change here but who knows. I was really hoping for some type of interesting architectural element in the project such as the Amazon Spheres project but maybe that could happen down the road if they expand beyond current plans.

Nashville Post reporting properties across from The Nashville Sign and near the Broadwest development in Midtown are under contract. Anyone know what might go up there?

Amazon officially signed a lease for their two towers under construction. Interestingly, they will also get first dibs on the two other office buildings planned for the other side of Church.
"It's official: Amazon has signed a lease for the downtown development where the company will station 5,000 office workers.
The lease also grants Amazon (Nasdaq: AMZN) first dibs on even more office space in the Nashville Yards development. That toehold gives Amazon room to swell beyond those initial 5,000 jobs — a widely held expectation in Nashville's business community, based on the company's track record in its home market of Seattle."

The site is being cleared for The Pearl II apartments at 1700 Pearl St. They’re ripping up the foundation of the previous structure and removing trees so far.
