I’ll be coming from Chattanooga, I hope they can sell out Nissan, even if it means there are 30,000 Atlanta United fans, it will be quite the atmosphere and a great way to kick off for NSC.
Hopefully Nashville stays competitive in this one.Capacity is 28,000 I'm fairly certain. They have tarp to block off the corners. In theory they could open those up easily if ticket sales get there. Atlanta will bring a ton, but on Feb 29 I think 10,000 is a good guess? Who knows. It should sellout though.
@nashvylle - Impossible to say how NSC did last night, but given the highest salary for any of the six new players was like $165K they didn't invest much salary cap wise. Besides USL guys on Nov. 30, there should be another few signings at least one but probably 2 are going to bigger names than this group. That said, Daniel Lovitz started for USMNT last night so gotta like him. Still need a right back, center back or number 9. 4-5 more players and the roster is set until the summer where they will surely make a move or two.

Anyone see Mike Freeman's tweet. He's basically boasting that he inserted this clause. Tweet is,
"I've learned that my MLS amendment is finally putting in work. @ Nashville Business Journal calls it "unintended consequences." That's NOT correct! I knew exactly what I was doing and what the amendment would show. We spent a lot of time trying to get it right."

As leaked by Pablo Maurer and Jeff Rueter yesterday, Nashville SC announced their inaugural MLS shirt sponsor. Renasant Bank is Tupelo based and will replace Nissan on the MLS kits (likely out in late November or December) on a four year deal.

I just feel like there isn't much MLS hype. So much advertisement seems to be blended with the USL team (are they staying or going?). The stadium has no real progress other than new "meh' pics. The logo is not super desirable and I am not seeing any outreach to the local clubs or anything right now. I get that not everything will be done in the amazing way the Preds do things. But I am a bit disappointed in the MLS effort right now. I am all "take my money!!"
The USL team is going away. Can't see Nashville running an NSC 2 team next year. I'd guess Nashville's affiliated USL team next year becomes Birmingham or Memphis.

I'm naturally pessimistic, but I don't see anyone giving an actual number. What is fine? My guess is Nashville will average around 17K next year - significantly less than any other recent expansion team (Minny, Atlanta, Cincy, Orlando, LAFC). Many clubs like to announce how ticket sales are going. Louisville announced this week that they sold 5000 season tickets for next year on the first day. How many has NSC sold so far?

I'd be more concerned about the success of MLS in Nashville if we also had a MLB team competing for fans, sponsors and media coverage, since both seasons are roughly from March through October. For smaller markets like Cincinnati that have both MLS and MLB, that seems like a challenge.
I will be interested to see if a Nashville MLS team can maintain support late in the season when its schedule begins to overlap with Titans, college football and even some early Preds games.
Ahh, I'm not saying you are wrong, but that is not a good example. The only thing Cincinnati has going for it is attendance. Even with the perhaps the worst team in the history of MLS, they are averaging like 27,000 per game. Nashville would be thrilled to get 20,000.

Oh snap, the rumor is true!!! The Athletic is confirming the Denmark report that NSC is paying about $3 million to buy Hany Mukhtar from Danish Club Brondby. He will be a DP. German 24 year old attacking mid. Love this signing. Ingram finally spending some cash on players. Big question for me is whether Accam is a DP or TAM player. That will go a long way towards telling how competitive NSC will be Year 1.

1) In the top left photo, the dog park would be closest to the bottom left corner correct?
2) Hard to tell how far the overhangs reach.

I'm sure on game days they will go down to fill the empty seats. Though if it's anything like the ramp up to the council meetings they (NSC) will wait until the last second to get involved and make changes. They seem perfectly happy waiting until much closer to big events to announce things and make changes.
Don't think they would take them below season ticket face value. That's not wise.

Nashville SC 2020 MLS ticket pricing at Nissan is out. Here are my initial thoughts which I got killed for on Reddit, but in 10 months we will see.

Like: The club will be deciding on a title sponsor for the scoreboard, and the early nominees include Pedal Taverns, Nashville’s Tourist Murals and a Tall Construction Crane.

That line of residential homes along Bransford. Anyone know what's going on with those? Few times I've driven by I've never seen a sign that one is for sale? Are they zoned for anything other than residential?

23 months to go and club already knows it can't be built in that timeframe? OK, I guess. Sucks as it will be an infinitely better place to watch soccer.

Nashville SC announcing Gary Smith will manage the MLS team next year at a press conference tomorrow. I'm not a fan of this move, but I understand it and trust Jacobs I think.

Is ParkWhiz (or something similar) utilized at Bridgestone Arena or Nissan Stadium?
ParkWhiz is just an app. I've used it a couple of times. Like AirB&B for parking. Not sure what the partnership does, but reserving a space for $25 in LA seems good. Nissan was charging that for the two USL games there last season.

As nobody has seen final plans that I know of. I have to think they are considering the parking situation and the possibility one or more parking garages on both sites.
I hope you are right. Last I heard events would park on the soccer fields. 30,500 is number used in past, but I've read 27,500 most recently in more than one place. Reality is they can adjust it up or down by 5K to 10K if they wanted to.
On photo, these are new buildings for flea market that are going up first right? How many will there be? Also, mind if I post photo on Twitter?

You can walk in for sure. That's good. Shows the need. But the soccer fields still look to be a few months away. Will just be one ceremony for entire Fair Park I would think.

Anybody know when the dog park is going to open?

All the current teams logos I would think have been through a round or two of updates/refreshes. I know the Portland one has, I saw a article about it the other day that I can’t find now.
Don't know about that article, but I love this video showing how well it went over with Timbers Army. Just fast forward to about 2:40. It's so funny and puts the reaction to Nashville SC logo in some context.

The fact that the Don is going to be there makes me ill. Other than that very much looking forward to it. With Judah and the Lion playing (The Weeks too) I wonder if Kacey Musgraves will be there given they just released a song together today. If so which Grammy dress would look best in gold???

Thanks for the welcome. I can't believe how one sided this logo discussion has become. Wonder how much Ingram paid for it and how much merchandise they already ordered? They definitely were going for a guitar head with six strings. The N being two v's for Ville. The only positive is with all the hate and the club remaining quite, there is only one way for it to trend going forward.
One bright spot for those that like the old logo. Should be able to buy as much gear as you want for about half price relatively soon. By year end for sure.

It's just a crest. How the team plays on the field is WAY more important. It's a matter of opinion, I really hate the current/old logo. Looks like it was done in Microsoft paint. The new one is more artistic and futuristic looking. I'm clearly in the minority here, but it could be a lot worse. Have you seen Austin's logo? Why I like it
1) The name is staying Nashville SC. If you at trademarks that were registered when Nashville Soccer Club NSC MMXIII was they included Nashville Beat, Nashville Vibe, Nashville Notes, Nashville Groove and Nashville Honky Tonkers. Dodged that bullet.
2) The colors are staying blue and gold. I know that hat made it look more egg yolk, but I'm pretty sure it is a shade of gold.
3) You new it would have a Music City theme. I like the guitar head shape with soundwave/music bar design. It's unique as opposed to a record, guitar or music note.

Enough Shane and Nancy. Let's talk about the team. What do people think about the club song released today?
