  1. Well, I have been accused of being in "la- la land" before;  however, I do believe it could  be built to look great. Saying that no architect could make this look good is subjective and a bit incredulous.  I guess I don't see how this is disrupting the look of Broadway when it's not even fronting the street itself, but that's my opinion.  I admire your drive to preserve historical districts and I am all for that myself, but in this case, I don't believe this project is harming much.  Just out of curiosity; If you were a developer with this exact plot, what would you build here?

  2. I believe they will go higher. If nothing else, the signage would be almost that high.  The "JW Marriott" would look really crammed with less than 20' of space, I think they would need to have an offset from the top floor with an equal amount above it. In my opinion it will be somewhere between 30' - 40' higher than the large floor.

    I believe a crown similar to the SunTrust Plaza in Atlanta would have fit nicely with the design of 505. Definitely would have given it more height, depth, and presence.
