Miami has a skysraper with letters not sideways. 300 should consider that, but the tower is shorter than the one in Miami.
I see that tower all the time living in Miami, it even has a girl dancing on it sometimes, so glad Charlotte has this now, this is amazing!

Nashville is putting a bid for it so why not for Charlotte?
I definitely hope Charlotte does! I'll be there all 3 days!

Do we think Charlotte will put in a bid to host the draft in the future?
I think LA, Pittsburgh, Buffalo, Cleveland, will be in consideration before we will be. Philly did an amazing job, good for them.

CLT is the 2nd cheapest of the larger NC airports after RDU according to this study. PTI is higher and this might explain on my last 2 flights were people from the Triad area (north of Greensboro and Asheboro). However little Concord is cheapest commercial airport in the state all due to Allegiant http://www.bizjournals.com/triangle/news/2017/04/26/ranked-which-major-north-carolina-airports-have.html?ana=e_ae_set1&s=article_du&ed=2017-04-26&u=oAaDx%2B74FoP4qOJ%2By4AU6dhJPpc&t=1493235355&j=78034041
The solution for Charotte to become even cheaper would be for Allegiant to move to CLT from Concord when the new concourse is done... still have never understood the point of airline service to Concord.

So is this renovation only for B? On the second two pictures it showed concourse A gates as well as an American sign in the second picture showing concourse A gates implying that American will have operations there...

Are there any plans to knock down the Walton Place building on stonewall anytime soon? It seems like a dead space along stonewall and the last remaining block to redevelop on that street bordering the freeway...

I have always heard that is because connecting bags are given a higher priority and like you I have always waited a long time in CLT longer than just about anywhere else I have been.
That's an interesting point about the connecting bags which definitely makes sense in Charlotte. Oh well, I guess it's the price to pay to have this good of an airport and my fault for checking in a bag haha

Sorry in advance as I know I am just starting an uneccesary conversation as I am ranting... but why is the baggage claim at the airport one of the worst? I have been to several airports all over the country and Charlotte is by far the worst. You can have dinner in the terminal after your flight and still your bags may not be in the claim area... again sorry for the rant

As anyone heard or have insight in terms of where this proposal stands? I assume it is still working it's way through the federal Department of the Interior's Bureau of Indian Affairs. Haven't heard from this site or any of the local media!
This is not happening anytime soon as far as my contacts are concerned. There was talk about Catawba partnering with the Seminole of Florida to build a hard rock brand hotel but there hasn't been any recent chatter. Cherokee is/will fight this from happening with everything they got. I have an anual meeting at Cherokee on Friday, may find out more then...

I would have no problem with streaming entertainment but the problem is the movie options are so much less than what they offer on the in flight entertainment system. At this point I have watched almost every movie they offer for their streaming option. Whereas for the planes that have the in flight entertainment system they have a section for "In Theaters Now" which is great.
