I go to WCU and they actually built a mixed used project a year ago. Retail on the bottom, dorms on top. Its got stuff like a coffee shop and convenience store, both of which are locally owned and operated. It turned out to be a really cool place. If little old Western can do it I don't see why UNC Charlotte couldn't.

I was just in Midtown Atlanta the other day and saw the QT. That whole intersection is so cool, Charlotte could really use something like that

I'd much rather see taxpayer dollars go to things like more rapid transit than building a new stadium. Especially since we just did some work on our current stadium.
