Probably time to see new horizons and consider other places with proven visions.

I’m glad that the vote was unopposed but it is pathetic that it may take 10 yrs to come to fruition.

Dallari may be more receptive if SSC at Altamonte Springs and Sanford-Orlando International airport are connected to Sunrail.

We'll see once Stanton goes to Natural Gas who ends up with ownership over that line. I think that's the wild card right now. If the City decides to send it to Lynx (who appears to be fast tracked to lead Sunrail) then we can be looking at some interesting route options.
Options like going North towards UCF or even further north to Orlando- Sanford international airport or they can go south to Lake Nona or even St. Cloud.

Preserving the old out-of-place, suburban-style library—and letting it sit empty for a decade or two—is par for the course in Winter Park.
I thought I read recently in Growth Spotter that only one contractor placed a bid to redevelop the old library into housing. Can someone verify??

The owners were a Colombian and French couple..

TV News reporting is giving me the impression that the 417 option is no longer being pursued.

Im Pro penny sales tax but I’m not feeling good about this. Hopefully Demings can pull a rabbit out of the hat.

Speaking of NASCAR I deliver mail to one of their Spokesman. Just moved in from NYC and he was hired to make the sport more appealing to minorities. He was pushing it on me big time but I’ve never been interested in NASCAR because of its history, origins and countless left turns in their closed circuit race tracks. Unlike FORMULA1 which seems more exciting to me personally because of the international appeal and twisty turvy race tracks.

Hard rock stadium might be better but Miami does not have the hotel capacity that Orlando has, nor a reliable transportation system.
-
Creating a comprehensive transit system would be checkmate in having the 2026 World Cup awarded to Orlando.

That’s exactly what I understood from the article!!!

Can’t fault the owner for being persistent. I still like the concept of this project. More power to them if they can make it happen.

Well that’s why I said STUDIES need to be performed and as we both are aware that takes years. Expanding on your idea of utilizing the 408 east-west which I 100% agree with, l hope the CF expressway authority merges with Lynx and Sunrail. I believe merging the 3 agencies would provide 2 sources of funding and it would resolve ROW issues.

But even based on what you wrote, running more direct buses on the 408 make more sense since it seems like we may agree that there is not a route that had the land use to support ridership between the UCF campus and Fashion Square area at best.

How would an OBX Line train get to Lynx, would it hit the main track and then back up in reverse?
That’s why when they built ACE Cafe I was very disappointed. They could build a stop by the adjacent parking lot in the BOA Building and call that stop Lynx Central Station as well. Lynx Central station can be a network of stations linked by Gertrude’s walk and side streets. Another option is to just to buy out Ace Cafe and turn that building into an Annex of Lynx Central Station. Passengers then just walk 1/2 a block to the LYNX. I don’t agree that OBX should be built first but I will admit that it is the lowest hanging fruit on the tree. A line to UCF should be priority because of assured ridership and economic importance the university has on the region but I suppose it will take longer since studies need to be performed.

I read a brief article about Apopka's desire to have a Sunrail route in the next decade. I know many on here track the train story better than I do- so this may be common knowledge, but this was the first mention I heard of the option on the Aloma spur.
"SunRail currently holds three options on area spur’s more commonly known as secondary tracks. One of them is in Apopka."..."The other two spurs SunRail currently has options on are the DeLand spur and Aloma Spur."
WHERE IS THE ALOMA SPUR??? Does it cross Semoran Blvd(SR436)

That does not say what you said and multiple articles posted since this one contradict what you are saying and claim Sunrail's link will be at the airport. Infact bright line has removed a meadow woods station from it's plans entirely in the year since that article was written. There's no reason they can't share tracks, they just can't share station platforms.
Exactly!!! That’s what I thought from the reading that I’ve encountered. Wasn’t sure if my eyes were playing tricks on me. Glad to see that you have read that as well and have come to the same conclusion.

Hopefully Sunrail and Brightline come to an agreement soon. It would be awesome if Sunrail had access to that line

Im so over this! Sunrail will just be another TriRail with no hope. Disillusioned with the lack of vision in our State. So backwards. It really is time to find new horizons.
