ENVISION COMPETITION 2022
There were 21 proposals submitted for the new park. They have been posted and the public can vote on them:Some really innovative ideas and some not so much. Thanks for posting! Voted for my favorite option.

It’s in that Western most building. They’re empty so I don’t remember if it was Gordman’s, Babies R Us, or Toys R Us.
Oh wow, I thought that building was on the smaller side. Figured Main Event would want or need something a bit bigger.

Are the Outlets within the LR city limits? I thought it was interesting that in the article it mentioned it would be in the city limits.

It’s already under construction, so maybe by the end of the year.
Where is it going? In the old Gordmans?

Arkansas Times is reporting that Main Event (now owned by Dave & Busters, but catering to a younger crowd), is coming to Shackleford Crossing.
Perhaps it’ll fill the old Gordmans building?

I-30 Crossing construction at the 2nd Street ramp.:
Ramp being removed with the Holiday Inn Express in the background.
This part will also be coming down.
2nd Street (bottom right hand corner) will remain open but the ramp will be replaced by a park running from the Clinton Presidential Center Park under I-30 west to Cumberland.
Will there be a new entrance ramp into the river market? I feel this is the most used ramp down there…

I wouldn't be so sure about that...a chocolate store closing is hardly a key metric. The last time we were out there (recently), it was pretty busy.
I think more so the fact they needed revenue so bad that they setup a carnival in the parking lot is more of a key indicator at the lack of success.

Apparently, the Lindt chocolate store is closing May 3.
This place seems to be flopping. Didn’t they have a carnival in the parking lot recently?

Mighty Crab will be opening in the former location of Tia's, Famous Dave's, DaqShack...any others?
There's a Mighty Crab in Lakewood Village in North Little Rock and one on South University in the former Catfish City location. I've never been to either.
Do you think they’ll close the South University location for this West Little Rock location?

I read this forum via my iPad and have never experienced any advertisements.

I had heard that David's Burgers at Markham and Bowman was looking for a new location due to landlord/tenant issues. Looks like David's will be relocating to Kanis and Bowman. A plumbing permit was issued for David's Burgers at 11921 Kanis Road.
This is the little (now closed) liquor store on the corner’s addresses. That will be an upgrade to that corner. That spot is very busy these days with traffic due to the apartments being built down Bowman and all the other new builds in the area.
I wonder if there has been any talk about widening the road on Bowman through there passed the Skatium as it was pretty backed up the last couple times I was there.

The vanity fair is closing. That’s a huge space. They need to try to get an Adidas store in the mall somewhere.
Wow that’s a big space. I went in once. They had a lot of Wrangler jeans from what I remember.

Glad to see that SWA continues to expand destinations, which is remarkable in this disastrous COVID pandemic market...also glad to see that ATL service is only 1x daily...not likely to ruffle Delta service.
10 hours ago, Arkanzin said:According to today's ADG, Southwest Airlines will begin a daily LIT-ATL route starting November 5.
So from LIT, Southwest will fly directly from LIT to the following:
ATL: 1x Daily
DAL: 2x Daily
DEN: 1x Daily
PHX: 1x Daily (I think)
STL: 1x Daily
I wish they’d bring back the direct flight to Houston.

Cantina Laredo is now open for curbside pickup and delivery.
Glad they decided to stay open. It truly was up in the air at one point based on what my sources told me.

Where is "Wellington Center"?
It is where the old Ford Dealership is across from Walgreens, Altitude, and the Kum & Go at that intersection there.

I just don’t think this building is visible enough for a Pappadeaux.

The Daq Shack opened today in the former Famous Dave’s on Shackleford. The line is currently wrapped around the side of the building!
-
I could see the Burger 21 place closing in that Markham/Chenal area.

I went to David's Burgers over the weekend and one of the employees mentioned that David's might be moving from that location but she did not know where yet. Has anyone heard anything about this? I imagine it is possible considering half of the building is pretty much unused and if someone new comes in they might want the whole building... Not sure where David's would move considering that this seems to be a pretty good location for them.

I have been hearing for years from a friend who works in a CVS pharmacy that CVS has wanted this spot for many years.

It's over by the Toyota dealership on Colonel Glenn behind the hotel over there!

Urban Air trampoline park is coming to the former Savers space in West Little Rock’. There was a sign that said coming soon on top of building and provided a website listed below:
https://www.urbanairtrampolinepark.com/locations/arkansas/little-rock-west
While another trampoline park is nice, I really wish places like Main Event would took over the space though the space is too small for them.
Interesting. Little Rock will have Urban Air, Altitude, and Third Realm. Didn't think our market was big enough for three similar businesses but we shall see. Savers space doesn't seem very big to me!

I agree with you. It’s too bad that the Del Frisco’s building wasn’t available for Arthur’s (before they selected their other new site).
Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkI was thinking the same thing last night when I saw that post. I bet the owners of Arthur's wish they would have waited just a bit longer to relocate!

I noticed the sign at the Cantrell Dunkin Donuts was taken down, so I'm wondering if they closed too.
The River Market
in Little Rock Metropolitan Area

I really liked the restorative loop concept as well as the Arkansas Riverwalk. The Little Rock Waterpark is interesting too. I just hope that a concept that stands out that locals can enjoy and tourists think is cool to see like Clyde Warren Park in Dallas.
