  1. Charleston is obviously growing at a much faster pace than Greenville (and the rest of the country!) but let's not make your little pissing match a game of "broad generalizations about statistics."

Comparisons to Columbia are dubious at best

Greenville and Columbia are growing at similar levels.

  2. First we saw the Certus implosion that has led to dumping more than 100k of sq feet back onto the office market, next Sealed Air decided to move over 700 folks to Charlotte. Now, Sempra Energy is closing the local office.

If Proterra makes it, it looks like they will be more West a last focused as they are building production in California. It will not stay in Greenville assuming it stays in business.

  3. Now before I get all the moans and groans, I have to agree with redcliff. This building looks a little to much like what's already here. And yes you could place this building off any highway and it wouldn't be special. Now don't get me wrong. I like it. But the orientation is wrong. Matter of fact the orientation of the whole project is wrong. I know why they did it, because of the topography. Like with hotel, it's like the back of the building is to Main St. Bad ju-ju. Matter of fact, all of the buildings are facing away from the street. Except for one, the four story building. There are two sides of it that are inviting to pedestrians from the street, that is. No other building does this. Now I know they had to place the focus somewhere. I just couldn't image that they couldn't be a little more imaginative than what's planned. I am pretty sure they can do better.

But I do have to say this to, Redcliff. These are not the final products, Remember the four story building was reviewed three or four times. All of these buildings have to be reviewed. That's the reason for the process. So we all need to keep this in mind.

I hope you are right, this project should be revised.
