Now, to answer the questions...
Developed by startup real estate development company Asterisk Development, LLC, WestLINK is a live/work building that aims to provide entrepreneurs with a collaborative workspace in the same building that they live in while still maintaining the separation between work and home. The top two floors of that rendering (shown in wood) are going to house 30 apartment units. The bottom two floors (shown in concrete) are going to be composed of a shared reception area, event space, and retail location suitable for a coffee shop or cafe on the first floor with an office suite on the second floor that combines private offices, conference rooms, and open collaboration areas. Yes, that's underground parking you see.
As for the location of the building, it's still up in the air. We have just signed a deal with a local real estate broker to pursue the acquisition of land in the West End of Greenville. We are currently in our first stage of funding for the project. We plan, though, on having all of the funding lined up and the land acquired in time to break ground this fall. Keep in mind that we are a startup company of our own, so the timeline for this project is going to be flexible to take into account delays in funding/land acquisition. As for the land shown in the renderings, it is currently owned by Centennial American Properties and we are currently in discussions with them. We are happy to keep you updated throughout the process.
