A new apartment project filed for a Land-Use meeting to discuss a project at the site of the warehouse building at the corner of Commonwealth and St Julien (google says its occupied by Southern Exterminating). No other info on it, but clearly I think the neighborhood would prefer an apartment use there.
Also, Gateway Homes filed for their meeting on the Art Decoish looking apartment project across from the Gas Station and next to the the VFW. That project got its rezoning approval this month. I'm actually looking forward to that project a lot. Central is getting an interesting mix of 3-4 story small scale projects.
Do you have a link or renderings to the Gateway Homes project?

Fresh Exclusive is a new location? Where was it before?
It used to be on Commonwealth next to Common Market

Well it looks like both Pint Central and Fresh Exclusive (in it's new location in the Nook) have finally opened and that they are making some good progress on the Healthy Home Market as well...

Couldn't agree more. I mean, why do we need 2 on the Plaza? It's not like the whole neighborhood is contained on the Plaza between Central and Parkwood. They should definitely put one on Central Ave as you leave Uptown and head West entering PM. I wonder who we could talk to about maybe moving 1 of them to Central...

Also - it looks like the antique store (1217 The Plaza) next to the Fire Station on The Plaza has been divided and half of the store is now a brick and mortar location for Duke's Bread.

Looks like the new ATM by the DQ on Central is finally open. Also, looks like the Pizza Peel and Pint Central should open in the next week or two as they are both fully furnished and have glassware/etc

hey - does anyone know what's going on with all of the new signs going up on Central between Thomas and Pecan. There are a bunch of green signs going in on the roofs that look to be written in Korean...

Anyone have opening dates for Central Pint and Pizza Peel? I am pretty excited to be adding these two spots to the hood.
Not sure about Pizza Peel (although they look very close to opening as they have the new pizza ovens, landscaping, boothes, etc in), but Central Pint is opening on 12/21/13

Looks like they have done some plumbing/framing work on the Pizza Peel and are starting to do some plumbing now that they've finished grading on the project behind midwood smokehouse

also - does anyone know what happening with the pizza peel? are they waiting for a permit? they haven't been on the job site in almost a month. the project hasn't stalled out has it?
