They're currently setting up tents in the new gravel parking lot adjacent to the wetlands. Is there an announcement today?

Sounds like a total nightmare. Single lane roundabouts on Augusta? Whoever came up with that idea should be fired on the spot.
Were the roundabouts approved? I read page 27 as they were investigated, but deemed ineffective.

This building is completely underutilized in its current state, even by the public. Why not bring it back to its original, enclosed state? I don’t understand some of the negativity around this.

I was under the impression that road work was supposed to start late August. It seems as if there is a hold up on this project. The newly fenced in area with the construction office has been there for almost a month now. It appears that they are working at another site location. I am not sure where, but all the equipment they are housing inside the fence gets moved daily.
I think this may be related to ReWa Richland Creek Sewer Trunk rehab. I noticed all the stormwater basins and ditches are cleaned out and re-structured. I'm not 100% certain though.

I don't think it's the Toast Charleston coming to Greenville. It's the NC based one....Famous Toastery.

from meeting minutes March 2016:
Mr. Edwards and Mr. Burch focused on two things in DC. One was the Air Traffic Control Tower and the second was funding for exit lanes. The FAA desires to do a seismic project on the existing tower which was originally slated for $4.5 – 5 million project and has now turned into a $9 -10 million project. The hard cost when we were looking at a new Air Traffic Control Tower was about $16 million excluding equipment costs. We have engaged our members in DC to help to transfer the funds from the seismic pot to a new construction pot. Senator Graham’s office is taking the lead from an appropriations language standpoint.
