Anyone have a clue which theatre this is? I cant seem to get the 2700 seats number to match up with the any of the theatres I know. Just wondering if its the saeger, orpheum, state palace, joy, munincipal auditorium or some college venue! The saenger has 2800 seats so perhaps this is it?

DescriptionRenovation of a theater development in New Orleans. Design development plans call for the renovations of an existing 2,700-seat theater, including restored interiors, modernized HVAC and mechanical systems, and expanded support and performance spaces.
Construction is expected to begin in the fall of 2009. No further inquiries are requested at this time.
I think this is most likely the Saenger. Read an article on nola a few months back that said that a deal was done to get the saenger theatre renovated.

I saw a crane at the Cancer Research Center site this weekend. Looks like they are finally starting work on it.
Cancer research center is indeed underway. Preping the ground right now, with actual construction to begin by mid-april. Check out our posts with links on skyscraper page.

The windows are starting to go up now, should lighten up the curtain. Also on the test strips there were a lot of light grey and green panels as well. I think the final project will be much better.
