  1. This is not a rumor but I don't have a thread to post it in, but why is the Court Yard by Marriott at Haywood (it's not the Court Yard by Marriott but it's a building beside it) in it's own zip code??? That's so strange to me because it's supposed to be in a 29615 zip cod but instead it's in a "29616". I don't think that post offices have there own zip code! Someone help me please...lol

This is where I got the information from!

Never mind they do have there own zip code's!!! lol

  2. "If the population can handle a lot of locations than go ahead and build more locations is what your basically saying right"...That's why us Americans are in this recession today, we are too greedy!!! I don't want to see Liquid Highway collapse due to building so many locations!!! I know the entire nation (almost the entire nation) was building a lot of homes and the developers said exactly what you said which is " If the population base can support that many Liquid Highway stores, then I am all for it." but replace Liquid Highway Stores with homes and there you go... "If the population base can support that many Homes, then I am all for it." Now look at them with all these empty homes but picture that in "Liquid Highway Stores" that's a bad situation. So developers kept building more and more homes when eventually they were not needed anymore equaling up to this recession, they thought the population could handle that many homes which it couldn't. "WE AS AMERICANS ARE GREEDY PEOPLE".. Now I can see why people will say that my statement above is nothing but watch and see....

  3. It's GREAT that they are expanding but I can see another Starbucks situation if they don't stop expanding so fast in one area!!! Of course I would love to have a company the size of Starbucks or even bigger than it in Greenville but not if America goes into another recession and Greenville sinks under because of it...(look at Seattle it was one of the most booming cities in America but since Starbucks, Boeing, Microsoft, and etc have layed off or even fired workers it's now not a good place for the recession)! Currently they have 18 locations and they want to have between 40-50 locations with in two (2) years, that's pushing it....so they better start building Charlotte, Raleigh, Greensboro, Atlanta, and etc locations!!! Greenville already has one major company that is laying off workers (Michelin) so I'm pretty sure that you guys or even the nation can't afford to keep letting that happen....

"The chain also opened a second cafe in downtown Greenville last week when it took over the former Port City Java site at on South Main Street. That shop will have a more upscale appeal, different from the chain's other locations, he said.

Waller said the company had been looking to move into Simpsonville and now has two prime sites on Fairview Road next to Taco Bell and on North East Main Street next to Anita's Restaurant."

It's already sounding bad to me...

  4. :shades: Wow! That's absolutely beautiful! That can easily top any skyline for most beautiful. A lot of it goes to the photographer, but the few mountains in the background, the color and the lights... :camera: Nice work, my friend!

Yea, Greenville is a mini L.A.!!! LOL

From the mountains in the skyline to the super-tall's in Downtown...LOL (Just playing around)

RestedTravler I'm going to use that as my desktop back ground...

  5. Just to let every one know there isn't a new resort planned on The Point's site, but I have another email saying that there is plan's for a SC resort in the future, and they didn't tell in me in which city!!! SO, I guess that's some good news at least right?

(It was rumored that a resort by the name of Kalahari was planned for the site)

"We do not have immediate plans for SC. We are building in VA. Information on our sites can be found at www.kalahariresorts.com Thank you for your interest. Maris Online Contact

    Kalahari Resort Sandusky"

  6. I once heard that Haywood Mall would be expanding to 1.7 million square feet. That obviously is not true, But I wish it was :) !

I'm the one who posted that rumor before because I had gotten a email saying that it was going to be expanded, then I believe that I went on Wikipedia and it said the same exact thing, so I apologize for my mistake... :shades:

  7. I thought this was supposed to be a true mixed use development. Putting gates up in the Estate part of Hollingsworth Park and the retirement village kills that. You don't see gates up at other mixed use developments like Griffin Park so why here?

I believe they are doing that because it is supposed to be a city within a city so they want to give all the characteristics of what a city has, as in Gated communities, retail, office, un-gated communities, and etc!!! That is the only way I can answer that question...
