You are so right, but I was trying to illustrate that many popular vehicles also have significant weight factors. also, the popular Model 3 has these charastics :

The Charger is roughly in the range of 4000 to 4550 depending on the engine size and how it is optioned. It is a full size 4 door sedan.

This is the type of space that I would envision for KJ Industries world headquarters with outside space, stunning views and dramatic space.
I have been there for a dinner party and it is remarkable. Would be an Iconic restaurant or perhaps a location should the City Club decide to move.

As I read that article it seemed to imply that the Pastoral Center could become the home of the new Cathedral as that land is already owned and then the Dilworth site could be sold for redevelopment.

So to begin, George Carlin describes the USofA as an oil company with an army! With that in mind Fuel/Manufacturing Complex stands to lose a lot with any change to EV's. They are also rolling in money and spend lots to buy politicians and off the wall influencing articles to support their maintaining a hold on the US consumer. All ICE manufacturers have significant investment in plants that are not adoptable to switch to EV's. Tesla started with only a dirt cheap plant it practically stole from Toyota (?), all their other plants were built from scratch specifically for the EV's. The practice of the GigaPress process eliminates hundreds of weld points and misc. parts that are not needed.
If the Chinese EV manufacturers were able to export to the US they would be everywhere and the F/M Complex knows it so do not expect to see that happen.
The argument that EV's run on electricity from coal and gas generation seems to imply that those generation plants are only there for EV's, not the case. Renewables continue to make a larger part of the energy grid and will continue to do so.
There is real climate change taking place and if we ignore it or delay its demise we are playing Russian Roulette.

KC wants to build a new downtown ballpark in Kansas City. The Chiefs want to take over the area where the Royals play to build out an Atlanta like complex with indoor practice field and a boat load of amenities. I think the Nashville rumor is just to stoke fear in KC.

For those as long in the teeth as I am, the original plan for that was a 5 (?) story condo building. Based on the 715 N Church building and build by the same developer, can't remember his name. Scratched that and went with high price townhouses.

Familiar with them. They are narrow, I believe 15' wide. Seems ok, but when you have 4 levels and a stairway (and elevator) taking up at least 4' the rooms become very narrow. Rooftop decks are nice, but enough to live with the narrow space???????

Pappas Properties has received the official green light for the final phase of its major mixed-use development in midtown Charlotte.
During its zoning meeting last night, Charlotte City Council voted to approve the Charlotte developer's request to rezone a 2.2-acre parcel at 1175 Pearl Park Way to allow for a planned multifamily tower to reach a maximum height of 275 feet. The original rezoning petition was filed in May 2022. Pappas filed an updated site plan last month.
Several changes were made to the plan following a public hearing in front of council members on Feb. 19, said Dave Pettine, the city's division manager of entitlement services. Changes included reducing the unit number in the multifamily tower from 450 to 425, identifying a third development area along Pearl Parkway to have a maximum building height of 160 feet and adding 10 rent-restricted units to the project.

davidclt, don't try to confuse the issue with facts! Most people do not take the time to pull their head out of the sand to see those things.
The only things that an ICE vehicle does better than an EV are polluting the air we breathe and drain money from the owners of those vehicles.
