Five Guys Hamburgers and Fries is opening in Lakewood Villiage in North Little Rock. The signs went up last week. This will be the first Five Guys in Arkansas. The Franchise group that is developing it plans on opening at least 7 more throughout Arkansas.

Sorry I have to be so vague for the time being. We will be filling in the blanks in over the next couple of weeks. We took a look at the Harold's location (and another vacant space there next to the Container Store) unfortunately Strode will not allow any additional restaurants in Midtowne Center at this time.

I will post additional information as we get it from our regional folks.

Out of curiosity, is the concept your opening Five Guys? I'm working with a Five Guys franchise that is launching in Omaha and may be of some help.

We are developing a national (but new to AR) fast causal concept in several locations in Arkansas. We are looking for any general local knowledge/suggestions regarding Little Rock and/or/vs NW AR (including recommended areas for development and working with the juristictions) would be much appreciated.

When it was first announced that Ruth's Chris was coming to norwest Arkansas it also was announced that the franchisee had the Tulsa and Little Rock markets as well. They were going to open in NWA first because of the lack of "good" steakhouses, then would open restaurants in Tulsa and Little Rock.

Enjoy the restaurant. I've eaten there and it's good.

Went to the Rogers one last week, food was excellent. Unfortunately for Little Rock, they're opening up in Tulsa first before turning the focus to LR.

Ruth Chris is coming to Little Rock, but not for at least another 1-2 years. The guy who owns the franchise is going to be opening one up in Tulsa first before breaking ground in LR. Could also be another location for Outback or Texas Roadhouse

[Park Plaza Mall]

Im not sure if i missed this somewhere but i was looking at the Arkanas Plumbing review site and i noticed that Wet Seal was approved for Park Plaza space #3008 i believe thats the old Bombay/Brookstone space. I just thought this was worth mentioning because my wife complains all the time about the lack of a Wet Seal in LR. I also called the mall and did confirm this.

It seems like there's a lot of restaurants coming in. I have family that lives in Little Rock and they keep telling me about the great new restaurants coming in (Copeland's, Carrabas, etc). There is a similar thread in the NW Arkansas forum and wanted to start one talking about restaurant development in Little Rock and the surrounding 'burbs.
