  1. "I laughed, I cried. It was better than Cats."

Seriously, we didn't know what to expect, but the presentation was

light and fun and we will make it a part of our holiday celebrations

    in the coming years.

Thanks for the heads-up on the event, Veloise. As someone who's

stopped reading the GR fishwrap, I might easily have missed the

    tuba event of the season.

  2. City of Orlando announces new arena plans. A few quotes from the USA Today article:

"On nights when the Orlando Magic are playing in the new events center by 2010, a

glass enclosed 116-foot tower at the northeast corner of the facility will be aglow in

    blue light."

Sounds vaguely like a certain downtown GR hotel.

"Also, the events center will be one of the first green, LEEDS-certified arenas in the

    country, Martins said."

For that, I applaud their efforts.

" The facility that will house the Magic, the Orlando Predators of the Arena Football

League and be home to major concerts, NCAA tourneys and potentially political

    conventions..."

Finally a place for the Green Party to call home.

  3. What are the rules on listing Condo's for sale on these forums?

Is there a place on UP to list downtown condo's for sale so the

members can see them before they go public? Or is this not

    acceptable behavior?

I ask because I'm hoping we get someone cool to buy my neighbors

unit when they move out next month. But I'll keep the story to myself

until I know the appropriate way to share.

    John
