Here is an example of these same lights being used.
This is a project San Antonio did to connect two areas that are split by a huge interstate. This would be cool to see under I 4 on church street

Well, I think everyone liked the blue and green lighting they have used on the stairwell. And for something new... last night, it was solid red. Now, if they have the ability to change colors between Red, Green, and Blue... that's RGB which is the basic color scheme for most TVs and computer monitors. I wonder if they will have the ability to create any color of their choosing... hmmm.
As an Entertainment Lighting Designer I use RGB LED fixtures a lot and it is amazing that you can get virtually any color. If all of the units are addressed individually they could all be a different color. imagine how cool it would have been if we could have seen it walking around the lake, but the location of these lights wont get that much appreciation on the north side. I doubt they have it flashy because of the "cool" look of the rest of the buiding.

For however long the garage lights have been on 24/7 This is really nice change. I did notice all the exterior lights are off as well. Hope the garage is not just a temporary thing. I would be more happy some trees planted between our buidings to help sheild the sunlight bouncing off the white paint. it would be nice if they dressed up the garage like Universal does.

When this gets approved will the condos start selling to anybody other than investors downtown finally?
-
what a waste! What would be worth looking at when your up there? Florida is flat and boring. Downtown will be to far away to admire it.

Will anybody miss the giant Mickey Hand with Wand and EPCOT sign once it is removed from Spaceship Earth?

With all these private donations I sure hope we get a world class design/architect.

Not really. Once it is complete, it will improve the area drastically. But if it will be torn down in 10 yrs, might as well add Uptown Place, The Grande, Park North, Post Parkside and the Metropolitan to the list. I believe they all are the same type of construction. Then we can replace it with $800 a foot condo highrises.
Hey! Metropolitan is all concrete, brick, and steel. I lived in cheney place now Park North and I remember it was concrete too. It is really weird driving down Orange and seeing Camdens balconies be all wood without any lower support.

wow thats nice! look at all those balconies they can charge a high doller for the view of Magic Kingdom and fireworks nightly.

Can anyone recommend a place that has good gyro sandwiches in or around town?
its been some time since I have been there. At intersection of Orange and Colonial is great place for gyros. Also another place is down Orange between Central and Pine a placed called Earthstone grill on the right side.

EMAIL I RECIEVED TODAY
I have scheduled a town-hall meeting to provide information and solicit public input regarding the proposed community venues. The meeting will be held Monday, May 7, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. in the Board of County Commissioners Chambers located at 201 South Rosalind Avenue, Orlando.
While these venues (performing arts center, events center (arena), and Citrus Bowl) offer very exciting possibilities for our community, collectively they represent one of the largest capital projects ever considered by Orange County. They also require a substantial investment of public / tax dollars.
Many of the emails I have received supporting these venues express the sentiment that the tax dollars being considered can only be used to promote tourism and to build these venues. This is simply not true.
It is true that the tourist development tax revenue can only be used for certain purposes. But what isn

that blue glass looks awesome. I can't wait to see this baby lit up at night
thanks for all the updates tim!
It will be intresting to see the entire building once the Blue plastic is taking off each window. On the lower floors where the plastic has come off, the windows don't have that tint to them. Kinda good cause it looks too much like it belongs in Miami.

Most likely WP residents make enough money and can easily pay for the constantly rising of gas prices to fill there super nice cars. This allows them to shun the idea because they will drive to where they are going to go because they know that they will not utilize the train as much. I think we need as many alternative options to driving as we can.
