Fest-For-All 5/5/07-05/6/07
This was an absolutely awesome festival...a great alternative to the hustle and bustle of the paid JazzFest in New Orleans.

What happened to Smokey Bones on Siegen? I passed there this morning and their signs are all covered.

Add my echo. I remember when the Mayor first mentioned the Smiley Heights idea. There was tons of uproar about it will not work. Let's see.

I know you LOVE that Creme Caramel, no whip cream. Add a praline on top.
Yes sir. That's it exactly.

I like Copeland's Cheesecake Bistro, Rotolo's on Coursey, and Parrain's.
I'd like to see the Texas Pappa places here, Pappasito's especially.

Apparently it just closed on Friday.
Smokey Bones closes
The Smokey Bones barbecue restaurant on Siegen Lane has closed after the chain's owner decided to sell the chain. Darden Restaurants, which owns Smokey Bones, shut down 54 restaurants Friday night, including all of its locations in the South. The company plans to sell the remaining 73 Smokey Bones locations, which are now along the East Coast and Midwest. Restaurant experts who spoke to The Orlando Sentinel say Smokey Bones never really took off because barbecue fans weren't interested in eating at a chain that didn't cater to regional tastes.
