A community of 12 three-story apartment buildings called The Carolinian is underway behind the Heritage Crossing shopping center, bringing 264 new apartments to the community.
Amy Timocko, director of asset management for Caviness and Cates, said the company is developing and managing the property and hopes to begin leasing in the summer of 2025.

Here's a headline worth some attention: "Census: St. Louis metro now smaller than Charlotte, Orlando"
https://fox2now.com/news/missouri/census-st-louis-metro-now-smaller-than-charlotte-orlando/
There's a simple lesson here, and a warning: cities can rise *and* fall. At the beginning of the last century, St. Louis was the 5th biggest metro in the U.S., behind just New York, Chicago, Philadelphia, and Boston. And it was was 4th largest in 1870, ahead of Chicago. Now it's 23rd. As recently as 1970, the St. Louis metro was still in the top ten. And hardly anyone outside of the Carolinas had even heard of Charlotte. Orlando was pretty unknown as well, until Walt Disney put it on the map a couple years later. Who knows what the future will hold for any of these cities.
The Arch notwithstanding, St Louis has a vastly underdeveloped skyline.

I think I’ll comment. It makes no sense to end it on the east short of Lilesville, when it could easily connect to the new Rockingham Bypass a few miles farther east as a continuous freeway through most of Anson.

they are being remedied now and for industrial job creating projects they will allocate sewer for in the county. It is just massive amounts of new houses that has been slowed but not stopped. The expansion of the sewer treatment plant should be done in a year. However the city of Concord and Kannapolis have sewer capacity for new industry. Warehouse development in Rowan has taken off due to cheaper and more available land than along I-85 in Cabarrus.
Reminds me of Alamance County, and Stafford County north of Fredericksburg

Follow up posting to the one in the Cabarrus/Rowan Development file...apparently this is the largest industrial development that has been announced recently for the Charlotte metro area.

Rowan County really is booming with industrial projects.

No grocery store comes close to providing the amount and diversity of prepared foods and international cuisine Wegmans does. I don’t cook and have an international palate, and Wegmans is indispensable to satisfying my appetite. Moreover, the store has impeccable baked goods. The gold cake is superior.

I wish Virginia shared North Carolina’s zeal for new interstates and freeways. If only the Commonwealth would construct a direct freeway/interstate between Danville and Northern Virginia, the Triad would have a quicker, more direct route to the DMV and Baltimore. US 29 would be a great candidate for such a route. Likewise, US 58 should be a freeway across the southern edge of the Commonwealth. At least, West Virginia and Michigan have expressed revived interest in making I-73 a true interstate.

Definitely a Japanese company and almost certain that the jobs announcement is in the Triangle... hence the stops there.
He’s speaking to Congress now. Has he made the 600 job Fujifilm announcement in North Carolina yet?

Chatham County’s population growth has been robust, but not simmering at the same extent Franklin, Johnston, Brunswick, and Union Counties have experienced growth. I am eager to see if all the new industrial development in Chatham will change this.

Davidson County’s residential growth appears to be continuing with a 135-home project in Lexington by a Berkshire Hathaway subsidiary that won approval from the city’s planning board and is headed to City Council.
Clayton Properties Group, doing business as Mungo Homes, is seeking conditional zoning allowing the project at 313 Bill Medline Road.

I like Johnnie-O. Now, the region needs a Rhone apparel store.

The Wadesboro Bypass should begin in Marshville and connect to the Rockingham Bypass.

Did you know that the Atlanta Braves are actually the FOURTH closest team to Raleigh, NC?
That's right, the Nats, Orioles, and PHILLIES are closer to Raleigh than the Atlanta Braves.
Of course we knew this, but others seem to not realize it.- 2
