I had not see this anywhere in here yet, but Urban Outfitters is open as well.
Not knowing it had opened already made me feel old/out of the loop

Someone on Reddit is reporting that it looks like J. Crew is closing at the Promenade. Coincidentally, I just bought some things there a few weeks ago, and it seemed fine then. I'm a bit surprised, given the recent buzz of new openings at the center by new managing realtors Newmark Moses Tucker (Sephora, Urban Outfitters, etc). Seems like a VERY odd time to close 1-1/2 weeks before Christmas.
That was me
when I was in there Wednesday they had small signs saying their last day was Jan 24.
They did file for bankruptcy earlier this year and seem to have come out of it. I think their focus will be more online and catalog for now though it seems.

It looks like Gap, Gap baby and Gap Fir are closing.
they posted store closing 30-50% off signs

It's unlikely that Costco will ever be able to break into Arkansas. Wal-Mart would likely be able to, as they have for so many years, stave off the effort to Costco or any similar competitor to move into home territory.
More of a chance here in LR where we have Target, Whole Foods, Kroger Market place, and (all but announced) Trader Joe’s. That being said, I’ll believe it when it opens.
NWA it would never happen.

I was just about to report that, saw it closed when I drove by today.

it would have been nice to have a new store in the same vein like The Body Shop perhaps... but maybe one day. good to see more stores will move in to the empty slots
-
I saw the old Backyard Burgers location on Shackleford by West End that was Church's chicken for a while now says Backyard Burgers and "Opening soon"
I guess someone is bringing BYB back to LR?

Yeah I wondered the same thing the first time I saw the signs.
I hope something good can move in there... we'll see

I saw signs today that Coldwater Creek is closing. Not a good sign, and evidence - in my opinion - that this center is both too remote and too small to be successful in the long run. It needs an anchor tenant (Dillard's or Macys).
An Anchor would be nice, but Coldwater Creek is closing nationwide. So it may not be a direct reference to the remoteness of this center. Park Plaza location is closing as well.

I believe there is a meeting/town hall tonight to discuss proposed changes to 430/Highway 10 interchange. There was an animation on this floating around but I can't find it, anyone know about the proposed changes?
Sorry it was last week

I guess the one in the Heights is considered a "Showroom" and not a "Store" so whatever. Guess this one is just going to be bigger.

I've seen Which Which in Dallas before. Never been in but it looked pretty good...
I'd like to see Corner Bakery come to LR though, it would be nice

I've seen the sign at Chenal and Markham hinting at some great brand coming spring 2013. There were words highlighted in red yellow and green leading me to think it would be some kind of dealership. This link shows renderings of the proposed dealership.

Seoul is becoming Early Bird - a breakfast/brunch(?) establishment. Sounds promising...

Also the old location for Siagon on Cantrell is becoming Dunkin' Donuts.

Work has begun on the Neighborhood Market, and this morning I noticed some signs advertising the coming store on the fencing they put up around the parking lot. Let's home they make the building look nice, the Riverdale Center could use some updating.
-
Email from JCrew went out today confirming the store is now open.
-
Rumor is J. Crew could open as early as tomorrow (9/20/11). Not sure how accurate that date is, but I will say the store looked very close to opening on Saturday. I would bet any day in the next 1-2 weeks and it should be open.
Also the center looked great this weekend. I went by to see the J. Crew progress and finally drop by the Apple store. It was way larger and nicer than I expected we would get!

And I wasn't harping on any predictions, just stating that you usually hear about it somewhere...
-
I never bought the Aug 20th date. Usually you hear about it openin somewhere in the press the week of (like Apple blogs) and no one listed this location in this past weekends list of openings.
-
It's official, Arkansas Business reported that the Apple Store will open Aug 20!!!
Apple has their logo up on the black construction wall also. Double official all the way

I hope they have a long term traffic plan for Maumelle. One road in and out, it's like Branson!
-
According to reports in the Democrat-Gazette and Arkansas Times, it's a restaurant called Seoul, so it's assumed to be Korean. They've applied for a liquor permit.
I found this article on Seoul.
Sounds interesting, but I wish Satellite had made it through the renovation attempt. I loved their brunch on the weekends. Thankfully, The House in Hillcrest has filled that void somewhat.

We already know about apple, but it's cool to see it mentioned on other sites:

Has anyone ever visited the Crosstown Concourse building in Memphis? I was just there the other day, and man it would be great to have some kind of re-purposed building like that in the LR area. I don't know of a candidate, but it would be great nonetheless.
