Freddies. They're supposed to be pretty good. Definitely an improvement in looks over the KFC.
-
They're just taking cues from Walmart... Crush the local people.
The 'local people' often take advantage of their fellow residents when there's no other choice...and I still see a lot of local businesses thriving around here.

Dunkin donuts opens tomorrow on 14th/morberly
Huzzah!

Wasn't a very good location, imo. This should be better. More open.
-
Not sure about that, but the restaurant near it is becoming a pharmacy

I only know that the new office building is supposed to be 10 stories now. I've heard that there are plans to build more stuff around the AMP area, and some of that should include shopping. They've already broken ground on the Chuy's, although that's slowed for some reason.
-
Akins is now open. Nice to have a health food store not in Fayetteville that's open past six.
-
Many businesses don't like to admit they're building until they actually do it. In the case of Longhorn, I think one hand doesn't know what the other is doing.
-
Glad to see Akins coming. Despite having three health food stores in the Rogers/Bentonville region, I have been unable to get any of them to bring in some popular items we use that I know others would also buy. Akins carries most of those in their Springfield, MO store, so they should have them.

Yeah I heard about that. Just so that everyone knows. Greg Leding (D-Fayetteville) voted for the bill Reps. Charlie Collins (R-Fayetteville) and Uvalde Lindsey (D-Fayetteville) voted against it. I hope everyone remembers to 'thank' Greg Leding later. The bill now goes to Sue Madison's committee. Now we have to see what she does.
Okay, this is just repulsive. Are the Dems as a whole --- and I know there are some against it --- just so desperate to regain the US rep seats they lost? This might actually work against them.
And will people please stop voting for Sue Madison? What has she done for this state, as opposed to her party?

Will AA ever add back the flights they had pre recession? Not even mainline to Chicago?
Im surprised that Delta hasn't added mainline to Atlanta yet. I know that they have it to smaller cities than NWA metro.
Has southwest ever been brought up as a possibility?
There are nonstops to Chicago from AA and United and Delta goes straight to Atlanta. Just checked Travelocity on that score. Perhaps I don't understand mainline, but we get straight flights at least.
Of course, I'd love Southwest. Maybe after the expansion is finished.

I haven't seen this mentioned, so I'll post it. Just got an ad for Allegiant --- I've used their LA flight --- saying that they now fly to Phoenix-Mesa from XNA. This would be their fourth destination and the Phoenix area is a good addition in my opinion.
Apparently this news has been around since Sep somewhere, but never mentioned on the forum.
-
I'm just happy that we're getting some direct flight for LA again. Hopefully, it'll go over so well that they'll add a third one on Wednesday perhaps. Three times a week would make matters more flexible.
Good for Allegient!

I heard that it's going into the old Brazilian place up by the Hilton Garden Inn, but that's all I know

You're absolutely right. I was in a hurry and the talk about the Bangor people being turned off by the area just made me think of a posting made in the Rogers topic. My last comment should belong there, not here. I apologize for that.
-
You know, some people are not turned off by Bentonville and Rogers.
And, by the way, I grew up in Chicagoland around Hispanic families, including some of our best friends. I live in SW Rogers because of convenience, but `i have no trouble with neighbors of any type so long as they are respectful and keep their homes decent.
Some of us are not as prejudiced as you think.
Let's just cheer the new arrivals

I'm going to be a little blunt and will no doubt get bitten for it, but it is a fact, well-documented even in the news, that people of faith give more to charities of all sorts, including for the hungry, than most of those who put people of faith down.
So! Granite City seems to be coming along well!

Well as stated here first by another member, Washington is indeed a flight. American Eagle. In the Arkansas DG website.
We beat out LR for it, too!

Fantastic. Yes it's a little airport, but it's the biggest little airport around.
-
Adding more arms is essential for growth. I hope they get on with that.
-
Yeah, I wondered about that, too, although I do feel I've seen situations like that before. Also happens with bookstores, where you can find a Borders virtually across from B&N.
Pleasant Grove would've been good.

Orange Leaf never impressed me. They were never polite. Didn't seem to care that much about customer service. Just my experience.
