  1. There are three building planned for the site, according to their P&Z request from January.  The largest building, in the back left corner of the property, would be just over 55,000 square feet.  Two smaller buildings, around 6,000 - 8,000 square feet, would be in the right front.  The P&Z app listed possible uses as commercial/retail.

    Here's the P&Z agenda from Jan. 28, 2013 (see page 32)

55,000 sq ft sounds like a big box store.  I suppose it could also be an office building.  Looks like a lot of parking on the site for an office building though.

  2. Bass Plantation/Publix Shopping Center updated plans:

This is the original site plan that Southern Pine Plantations put out for this project . . .

The office park portion has taken on the name Lakeside Commons. A revised site plan of the office park is here . . .

One of the large office buildings is currently being bricked (has been for several weeks!), but it looks like plans include another large office building nearly twice the size of the one under construction and then a third large office building later, all in addition to a few more one-story office buildings like the ones currently in place.

Now, here's the flyer on the Colliers Spectrum Cauble website of the revised site plan for the Publix shopping center (shown as Kroger on the original SPP site plan) . . .

The original SPP site plan also showed some restaurant out parcels and some other things - no word yet on their status. But it's reassuring that despite the downturn in retail construction and the real estate market, these projects in North Macon are (despite their necessary postponements) finally moving forward!!
