my older sis worked in that building back in the late 80s/early90s (can't recall which), but I had no idea what the name of the building was. The two *towers* (that's what she called 'em) are just barely visible...
I think I'm mistaken... the towers are part a building she worked in, but behind the building that is the focus of this shot.
I'm an idiot. Sorry

civitas - nice shot!
Nitro - my older sis worked in that building back in the late 80s/early90s (can't recall which), but I had no idea what the name of the building was. The two *towers* (that's what she called 'em) are just barely visible...
She said she lost her job there because people (including her) started feeling ill... and the building was found to be virtually soaked in asbestos, which was somehow loosened (?) and being pumped into the building's ventilation system. I'll have to call her tomorrow and have her refresh my memory. I could be totally wrong about the asbestos aspect.... but something happened to make her ill...
RC Allen Building... cool. You learn something every day, in this town

GRDadof3, it was your pictures that got me hooked on this site/thread... thanks. I would love to have the access you have to the higher viewing spots

Yard Sale next door...
The last night of the sale (and it was big), they left it all out for a free-for-all. I have lots more pics, but these two are my favorite for some reason.
I now have a new set of clubs (left handed - I'm right handed and don't play golf), nestled in a pretty pink golf club bag.
Best offer
/PS: my 14 year old son took these pics

Believe it or not, this is within a 1 mile radius of Fulton and Division.
Any guesses?
no idea!
Here I was playing with longer exposure. Yes - I'm a newb. Fuller & Fulton.
This pic I took with no light other than the streetlamps, ten sec exposure with the Kodac camera. Nice sepia tone, but I wasn't totally happy with the result. It was late when I took these, no one on the roads (except for the lone car making a left), total silence.
Looking east from Fuller on Fulton, towards Family Fare on the left, standing in front of the bakery.

Nice photo of your daughter. Was she dressed as a performer for Festival?
No, not this year - but her mates from the Linda Moon School of Dance were performing, so she wanted to be there to see them do their thing and lend support.

I have been meaning to capture this scene for some time... very nice

When that building was built the architect (Bob Wold) called it the "mirror on the mall."
That's news to me. Almost my whole life in G.R. and this is the first I've ever heard of Bob Wold... God Bless 'im
Here, I saw a bunch of angles, with yellow as the focus.
Action shot, taken Saturday. These kids were hard to capture in action, because let's face it: They're kids. And prone to doing the unexpected.
This is one of those snapshots that you sneak without them looking, and pray it turns out good. I'm very pleased with this shot (my daughter)
