  1. If you haven't checked out the live police/fire scanner feed, it's a different and sometimes entertaining way to fill the background while you're surfing or reading UP. (until you hear about something going on in your neighborhood...hehe)

    http://www.scanmichigan.com

It uses Windows Media Player, so you Mac people may be out of luck.

I thought I was the only one who enjoyed sometimes listening to the police scanner while checking out UP :)

  2. I'm guessing:

    38 Commerce

    Gallery on Fulton

    Monroe North Hotel

    Icon Hotel

    Hyatt Place Mid Towne Village

    Streetcar

I'm very excited to see this thing get started.

    I know 5 of the 6 are:

    Gallery on Fulton

    D&W Fresh Market on Michigan

    B.O.B. expansion

    Millenium Park amphitheater

    North Monroe hotel

    I can't remember the 6th <_<

  3. Amy and I generally prefer Woodland because it's closer to us, it has cheap movies (this is really the only reason we've gone there in the last year, except for a couple of visits to Penney's and Sears), and the anchor stores like Sears and JC Penney are much larger and have a greater selection than at Rivertown. Generally, we only go to Rivertown when we're already in Grandville to see her parents, and we mostly just shop at Kohl's.

The cheap seats are great. I have a hard time paying full price for a ticket when you can go there a little while after the premiere for $3 bucks.

  4. Chris Knape asks a few questions about the BRT and potential for a streetcar system in his latest blog post. What do you think about bridging east and west opposed to north and south within the city? I think I agree with what he is saying, it takes little time to go north and south within the city, mostly because of being able to easily access 131. I agree with Knape, heading east to west can be time consuming at rush hour. What are your thoughts on his blog post?
