  1. Ah, this old chestnut. If these networks were truly left-leaning, they'd have called out the Bush Regime's BS instead of rolling over. But they haven't.

Your right. To me the repulicans between 80% and 95% have Fox news. No one can deny that. MSNBC is kind of democratic, but the try as hard as they can to stay neutral. Fox doesn't try as hard to see every point of view. CNN on the other hand is conservetive and kind of swings from Dem to Rep. The CBS is democratic, NBC is neutral, and ABC is republican, but all to try to stay a little bit neutral. I'm a democrate and that's how I see it. The only thing I agree with Bush about is immigration.

  2. Sorry burt, but I don't know Russian (as you probably guessed). What I'm learning here is this ancient and almost completely isolated language called Kartuli (otherwise known as Georgian). It's unrelated to Russian, Azeri, Turkish, Armenian ... the closest relative linguists THINK it MAY POSSIBLY have is ... Basque. So ... yeah ...

Being away for awhile is sort of cool because when I get back in two years, there will be all these new things and I can stare gape-eyed at all of them in wonderment. Not the same if you watch it being built over time.

Nice to meet you too man. Basque! that's odd, basque is spoken in NW Spain and SW France. They must be related to Gypcies.

What I think about blaming Doug is (you can do in in some cases but not everything, It's a natral disaster for pete's sake, they people in the Battery Park area know that that park floods almost everytime that it rain hard or for a long time.

  3. I now this projects in the west end but still looks like the map has it in Richmond!

-Why can't the centinnial towers get these hotels?

-Because it still doesn't look fully like the plan will go throw and no other hotel has tried to.

My bad western Henrico county, why don't they put up a map of henrico.

  4. Most likely they wouldn't locate in the city anyway. The city is too poor for businesses liking.

But what can be done? Should everything sail through City Hall? How could they help make things run smoother?

Man, the city is changing and anything major for development (ALWAYS) has to go up before the government office of any place. There is no real good and watchful way to make this a smoother process. The city is poor but, the city is still in the center of the region, so the city still has a go chance. Plus don't forget, downtown has alot of old building that would cost money to bring down, so it's cheaper to do it in the county were nothing a first was at. So most of the time, it not the city is poor, it's the jibs coming to the city are cheap.

  5. That has ben happening dude, Richmond's is truely turn around it just takes time. And this people are starting to get sick og living in the suburbs and are moving to the city or out into the country. Richmond will raise again. But Richmond needs to find a way in now to feed off of Short Pump some how.

  6. I'm glad the storm's center didn't go west of us, putting us in tornado threat. That's like the only thing I fear with minimal tropical systems.

You know... maybe the water won't flow from Battery Park into Shockoe Valley... but I think it would have been neat to have filled that ravine with water and had a lake community in the city.

That would be nice. I glad the water could NEVER run from battery park to Shockoe bottom, a School, gulf coarse and many blocks of apartments are in the way plus on the other side the grond level goes up like a hill. But having battery park as a lake would make the Northside look alot better!

  7. In news for petersburg from the Richmond times-dispatch. Form Story "The art, buildings reel'em in".

Musicians in Petersburg along Kimberly ann's and the Chesterfield hotel entertain visitors along Sycamore Street. This happened after an art show of 20 exhibits for the 3rd anniversary of Friday for the arts.

  8. OK, Here is some real estate news from the Richmond Times-Dispatch. Home sales in the Richmond Metro area have plumitted 7% campared to this time last year, but of course this was expected because of the cooling housing market across America. And virginia had the 4th largest dip in housing sales in the nation, mostly do to the dip in housing sales in the NOVA area.

  9. As we all know, Richmond's economy has been growing in the past 3 years. This forum is to update and show Richmond's economic boom and to talk about more economic growth or challages that will, may, or may not come to Richmond or the Richmond Metro. This forum is also to talk about real estate booms and pops in the economy of Richmond. And also to talk about and update about businesses bringing money and jobs to the region, and helping Richmond become a better place. One of the businesses I'm looking at is Philip Morris and Meadwestvaco, what about you?
